I listened to your podcast Angharad – I only manage to get to the odd one as I don’t listen to podcasts much (time!). However, I enjoyed this – as I have the others I’ve listened to. I hadn’t heard, for example, about the alternative Nobel Prize. How did I miss that.
But, most of all, I loved the interview with your Grandma. What an interesting life she has had and what a commitment to books and reading. She sounds a lovely, engaged, up-to-date woman. I laughed at your calling your grandpa Sir.

Thanks so much Sue, Grandma is (and always has been) definitely very engaged. She was telling me just the other day how to use instagram to make video calls! My grandfather was a very funny man, and us calling him Sir started out as a joke with my mum that everyone went along with. He was a fighter pilot before he was a teacher/headmaster, and I think he was secretly chuffed at how impressed his friends were that we all called him Sir (even though to us that was his name!)

I wondered if it were a joke. Love it. You are clearly very proud of your grandparents.
